Transport Working Party set up. This was comprised of the City Engineer, the City Planning Officer, Manchester & Salford Polic, S.E.L.N.E.C, PTE and Wilson and Womersley to co-ordinate issues related to the Precinct Plan, public transport, private travel, car parking and the development of the highway network.
